The Workshop begins with the kiln loading. We will spend a full day carefully wadding and positioning all of the wares into the kiln. The door will then be bricked up, and we will begin to fire come early evening. Although firing schedules vary each time, the kiln will generally finish up after 40 hours of firing. The unloading of the kiln will take place the following Saturday. Kiln shares consists of either 4 or 5 cubic feet, and cost 80 per cubic foot. Drop off Work on August 4, Pick up on August 12th- 12:00pm. Each share provides 4 cubic feet. Please remember to account for space shelves and posts take up. Generally, you can fill 3 12 x 24 x 7” tall. Studio glazes are available for use. Only workshop participants are granted studio and kiln access during the workshop.
